Proposal
Mano a Mano is still looking for a few full-day and half-day interpreters
/ transliterators who are RID and/or NAD certified. They should
possess excellent expressive, voicing, and teaming skills and be
comfortable interpreting from spoken Spanish to ASL as well as spoken
English. Prospective interpreters/transliterators should also have
experience in interpreting at the conference level.
Interpreters will be paid at a full day, half day, or hourly rate
and may be eligible for assistance with one night’s hotel
stay and/or transportation to and from the airport depending on
circumstance.
Individuals who are interested in serving as a conference interpreter
during the Mano a Mano conference should provide an electronic copy
of a vitae or resume and a copy of their certification and 2 letters
of reference upon request.

"Conference Theme"

The 2011 Mano a Mano Conference, "Convention Theme goes here", is coming up fast. We would like to put the word out to make the biggest and best Conference so far! In order to do that we will need working professionals that would be willing to share the range and depth of knowledge they have collected. Latinos will be making a bigger impression in the United States and the Americas over the next two years. The Convention hotel is already sold out there is a second hotel and it is going fast. |
Mano a Mano está solicitando los servicios de intérpretes y transliteradores para trabajar todo el día y medio día. Los intérpretes deben ser certificados por el RID o el NAD Los profesionales interesados deben demostrar una excelente capacidad de interpretación de lengua de signos al idioma hablado, expresividad y trabajo en equipo y del español a ASL y al inglés. Los intérpretes y transliteradores interesados deben tener experiencia en el ámbito de la interpretación de conferencia. Se le pagará al intérprete de las siguientes maneras: un día complete, medio día o una tarifa por hora. Posiblemente se ofrecerá hospedaje gratis en un hotel y transporte ida y vuelta al aeropuerto, dependiendo de las circunstancias. Las personas interesadas en interpretar en este congreso deben enviar su curriculum vitae u hoja de vida por correo electrónico, al igual que una copia de la certificación. También deben tener a mano dos cartas de recomendación en caso de que se les pida presentarlas. Los intérpretes interesados deben enviar su información a los encargados del comité organizador antes del 30 de junio:
